These cosmic giants are regions of space where gravity is so intense that nothing\u2014not even light\u2014can escape. But not all black holes are the same. In fact, scientists classify them into several types based on their <strong>mass<\/strong>, <strong>origin<\/strong>, and <strong>behavior<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Stellar-Mass Black Holes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These black holes form from the <strong>collapse of massive stars<\/strong> at the end of their life cycles. Scientists believe they formed early in the universe\u2019s history and grew by consuming matter and merging with other black holes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mass<\/strong>: Millions to billions of solar masses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Example<\/strong>: <strong>Sagittarius A*<\/strong> at the center of the Milky Way.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Role<\/strong>: They influence the orbits of stars and galactic structure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These giants power <strong>active galactic nuclei<\/strong> and <strong>quasars<\/strong>\u2014the brightest objects in the universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Intermediate-Mass Black Holes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These black holes are the \u201cmissing link\u201d between stellar and supermassive types.
